Muscat overview

Muscat Travel Guide
Muscat is the biggest city in Oman, the capital, and lies on the Arabian Sea, which means there are plenty of good beaches and views. Muscat, like most of Oman, is rich in diverse culture and many visitors come here for just this reason. Muscat has been inhabited for thousands of years and has the historical sites to prove it. There are also a number of museums, including the Oman National Museum, which is currently under construction but expected to be one of the architectural marvels of the city. For those not interested in anything older than they are don't worry, Muscat has several large shopping malls, theaters and is currently constructing an opera house, which it hopes will increase foreign tourism. Because of its religious diversity there are also a number of interesting Mosques and Christian churches to check out.
