Riyadh overview

Riyadh Travel Guide
Riyadh is the biggest city in Saudi Arabia with a population of nearly five million and is also the capital of the country. Because much of the city looks ultra-modern you might forget that many of the law are anything but, so keep in mind that you will not be enjoying a cold beer in a nightclub full of half naked women. Riyadh has a unique mixture of both modern and ancient architecture which attract tourists from around the region. The ultra-modern Kingdom Tower stands as the highest building in Saudi Arabia and offers a stark contrast to some of the ancient architectural sites that still exist in the city. The al-Masmak Fort offers a glimpse of the past and is one of the few remaining structures left over from the original city. There are also many traditional villages around the city but they are quickly being overwhelmed by urban sprawl.
