Ajman overview

Ajman Travel Guide
Smallest of the Emirates, Ajman is not perhaps the most interesting place for travellers to the region. The architecture reflects an attempt to keep up with its more affluent neighbours, but is nothing to write home about. The streets are safe and surprisingly free of traffic. Down by the waterfront there are some passable beaches dotted with palms and numerous sheesha cafes where the weary traveller can suck on a hookah. The liveliest place in town is the Old Souk which gives the feel of life in centuries past when traders from around the world also walked away with a carpet they didnít really need. Lunchtime is interesting here when all the traders seem to disappear to who knows where.
