Ras Al Khaimah overview

Ras Al Khaimah Travel Guide
Still thankfully passed over by the big tour companies, Ras Al Khaimah will offer a few treats to those who take the time to stop over. The crumbling architecture of the town shows how traditionally builders used coral sandstone to house the population. The town’s fort is now its museum and is bound to fascinate those who have a passion for shells and old coins. The developers are also thankfully still to move in and some of the beaches in the area remain relatively pristine. Views of the surrounding mountains are truly breathtaking. A top tip when referring to the town is to just call it RAK as that’s what the locals say.
