Sharjah overview

Sharjah Travel Guide
It may be the neighbour of Dubai but Sharjah has some very different attitudes when it comes to how its occupants and visitors are supposed to behave. Dubaiís rapid development as an international city has meant that it has allowed some of the naughtier aspects of global living sneak in. Not so in Sharjah. There is no intoxicating alcohol, no polluting sheesha pipes, no tempting glimpses of flesh and for those who are tempted definitely no giving into those desires before marriage. That said there are ample opportunities to vent frustrations by shopping. Money is no sin here. Sharjah is also well known as the cultural capital of the Emirates for its theatres, museums and art galleries. It also boasts some wonderful beaches.
